Aliko Dangote was born on April 10, 1957, in Kano State, Nigeria, into a business-oriented family. From a young age, he showed interest in trading and entrepreneurship.He is said to have reportedly bought and sold small items to make profit, showing early signs of business talent.

Also, instead of depending only on imports, Dangote focused heavily on local manufacturing.

One of the company’s biggest successes became Dangote Cement, which grew into Africa’s largest cement producer.
